Hey y’all! So you’ve found yourself reading yet another blog. I always felt this blog thing seemed so cheesy. However, I started to realize this can be a resource for folks to feel connected, included, and validated. My only purpose here is to share my experience as a young woman trying to pursue a dream, making personal connections and relationships along the way. So let me start by introducing myself briefly.

My name is Hannah. I am a military wife and an interior designer with a spunky pup named Honey. My husband, Dalton, works in the financial industry. He’s very entrepreneurial-minded, and passionate about fulfilling a life of service. During our student years, we built a small business which has served several college and community service organizations over these last three years. He and I both graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with our bachelor’s degrees in 2018. Shortly after graduation, we got married on Naval Air Station North Island, Coronado. Professionally, I have continued my focus on interior design and remodeling. I enrolled back in school to earn a career-focused degree and certificate in interior design, which I have since completed since May of 2020. Although seven years of school seems painful (which it certainly was), I wouldn’t have changed it. I am grateful for the education I gained from the professors I was able to work with on a daily basis and for the ability to have thoughtful discussions with them regarding design.
Alright, enough of the boring stuff! I just want to discuss real life experiences I’ve had as a young professional in the interior design/remodeling field, college, and everything in between. I hope this can be a positive resource and I hope you find this encouraging as you fulfill your dreams!
